Hi all

Where is there a good operator to dive off of Stuart/Ft Pierce? What is there to dive off of?

Thanks

I don't think there's much ... you're probably better off heading a little south to Jupiter or West Palm Beach.

How about jupiter? How long are the dives? One tank/ two tank? How is the diving in Jupiter this time of year.

Below Sebastian Inlet to Ft Pierce Inlet are lotsa good beach diving places...Only problem is you need near perfect weather conditions with flat seas for extended periods...That's mostly a summertime event but the ocean occasionally clears in the winter

There is a company called "Blue Water Excursions" out of Ft. Pierce that I dove with earlier this year. They run fishing and diving trips. I don't have there contact info, but 411 should give you the number. It is a father and son operation and they are nice guys, but the boat is VERY bare bones.

Else head a little further south to Jupiter - best diving in FL IMHO. Check out Jupiter Dive Center (www.jupiterdivecenter.com). Great guys to dive with and nice boat.

Happy diving
Michael

The Jupiter/Juno area is basically a continuation of the same ledge/reef system off West Palm Bch. It also picks up the same currents (Gulf Stream) so it's all drift diving.

The area is not frequently visited by the dive operators based in WPB, however. This is a good thing. There tends to be less diving pressure on the area and consequently it remains a little more untamed. The hunting is much better in this area versus WPB.

You can dive Jupiter year around. In general, however, the best time for So FL, is probably early summer ... before hurricane season really kicks in. It looks like the conditions are just now starting to improve after Wilma.

Here's a link where you can check the latest Jupiter conditions: http://www.divejupiter.com/
