I'm a Fish!
I will be in the area this weekend and I'm trying to find someone who is going on a dive offshore. I came across force-e in Pompano and the boat Safari Diver going out to the Guy Harvey. Anyone ever dove with them? Any suggestions otherwise?

Thanks in advance.

Well, I went out with South Florida Divers and also a trip with Scubatyme and both were well run and great trips. SFD has a list of dive sites on their website. Wish I was coming along!! May get to do a Manatee trip with my daughter next month and met the folks who run www.birdsunderwater.com and they are real nice!!

Take care and I will dive with you later!!

We did Force E, but FE doesn't have boats....they hook you up with another operation. Safari Diver is one of three boats operated by South Florida Charters, just around the corner from FE. We thoroughly enjoyed SFC, and Safari Diver is a nice boat. If Dave captains it, he's a hoot.

We didn't make it to the Guy Harvey.

Darcy - I do not know your dive experience or training. You do seem to have a Zeagle so maybe this is right up your alley.

I personally have never dove the Guy Harvey as I do not have the training or equipment for that dive.

Darcy - if this weather holds, and it should, you will have some nice seas and viz to dive in so the Guy Harvey will be a great dive for you. The seas right now are flat and gorgeous. If you need any extra tanks or deco gear, stop by Fill Express also in Pompano.
I never dived with SFD, but a lot of people like them. I always dive with Jerry at Parrot Island when I'm using a commercial dive charter, but he almost never gets enough people to dive stuff like the Guy Harvey or the Hydro Atlantic.
I get to drive up to Atlanta today to take the hens to a baby shower on Saturday. That's sure a whole lot more fun than diving any day of the week.
