I will be on Whidbey Island Aug. 13 - 20, and am looking for a buddy for a day's worth of diving.

I am also wondering whether is is realistic to dive Puget Sound in a wet suit (obviously the thickest I could find) or whether a dry suit is required.

Thanks!

Puget Sound can be done comfortably enough in a 7mm wet suit. That's what I started with and it's not too bad in the summer (not that the water is warmer, but the air temp once you surface makes a big difference). Although everyone I know who has moved to dry has stayed there.

Where are you going to be on Whidbey?

The wetsuit will work for you in the Sound, no problem. Have you found somone to go with? I might have out of town guests at that time, but if not I could arrange a dive or two.
