just got back from trip to Florida
went and dove troy springs, blue grotto, and ginnie
trying out new B/p and wing never been to the grotto b4
it was neat my buddy kinda had a panick attack at about 78 feet or so
said he fell as if his reg was not giving him enough air but he calmed down
and we continued on the dive
that is a really neat place hope it sells to someone who will continue operate as a place for us to dive im ready to go back there again
well i hope to have pics up next week

Troy Springs? Are they good..?
I go to Blue Grotto and Ginnie Springs at least twice a month, everytime my Dive Master is doing a check-out dive with new people i jump in.

Anyway, you said your friend fricked out?
Let me tell you something, the first time i was doing my checkout dive for OW, i was not even able to get my head under water, i was freezing (Florida Springs, Devil's Den). Of course, now that i see it... i think i was just way too scared.

Thanks God im fine now, i am still trying to figure out what happened to me that time, i never felt that before, i just was not able to breathe right and start shivering, It was weird. There were kids swimming around wearing only shorts! I had my two-piece 7mm wet suit and i felt cold!

I now love the springs, altho there is not much to see...

well there is not much at troy just the bottom
and that old ship or whats left of it
ive been to ginnie 2 times b4 and troy once
and i think his regulator was just not delivering the air it should have
or it was the depth and the darkness and all at once
the cold was not bad actually felt good
i like blue grotto and am ready to go back
and go a lil deeper seeing as how he was uneasy we only went to 96
and i wanted to go all the way to the bottom
i only wear a 4/3

Nice pics! Looks like you had fun! >>>> adding to my wish list, one UW camera! :D

thanks lil38 i thougt they were neat
we took twice that many but that are the best ones that showed up
even though u can see good in that nice clear water
without good light the pics dont come out very bright

the pics are blue because.........heck i dont knw lol

UncutDesign:
Excuse my ignorance...
Is there a particular reason for the pictures to be blue?

I am not familiar with underwater photography.
The water has a blue tint to it. You don't notice it when you are near someone, but the light filters through all that slightly blue water, so when you are more than several feet deep, the ambient light is blue.
