Venice, FL.
Went out today with Florida West, the First time they have been out in 2 weeks.
Everyone did good with several big megs. There were 7 divers on board.
The water temp is 67. Did a 95 min. 1st dive and 76 min. 2nd. Was wearing a 7mm wetsuit w/ hood. Was starting to shiver a little at the end of the 2nd dive.
It's time to get out the dry suit.
Will post a pic of today's haul after cleaning.

67???? That is shorty weather dude!

But I guess now I know why I always get the looks from the locals when we dive in FL in the winter.....the boys from up north show up in 3mm shorties and dive, yet I even complain about the water being too warm. LOL

Cold water is below 38.

Yesterday water was about 50, 43 on the surface, air was in the low 30s though!

Ya I'm a pansy about water temp!

2th, how was the visibility?

I'm assuming if FL W went out that it was better?
- the Thanksgiving weekend dive was awful, with 0-5".
There seemed to be some type of milky/cloudy suspension as if the clay got stirred up from under the sand.

Also, has anyone gotten a decent shore dive since Thanksgiving?

Here's Sunday's treasures

I haven't been to Venice Beach yet... where is the best place to dive from shore there?
Thanks, Sam

There's a sticky at the top of the Conch's trips for dive information. There's directions to alhambra street there - that's where a lot of us usually go. 2th, I believe, dives just north of the pier, which is a little further south. You can also do casperson (which is even further south), or the public beach.

Wow, great megs! I gotta make it down there.
