I'm planning some dives off key Largo on December 17 and 18. Does anyone know current water temps?

The dive shop says 76 degrees but NOAH suggests 71. big difference in what I'd pack.

Thanks!

I was down in Key Largo a month ago and I found it borderline cold. By now, I think many divers will feel a bit cold with just a 3 mm suit if not during the first few dives then definitely after several. You could layer an additional layer with a rental from the shop.

The Molasses Reef buoy is reporting 76F today, the next one down the Keys Long Key buoy is reporting 72F. It'll be cooler at depth on the wrecks, and - who knows what the air temp will be in 2 weeks? I'm taking my 5 mil, my 7 mil as backup. :frosty: But I'm old. :)
