After three weeks on the water (and unfortunately none under it) I am back and the dive boat is going to get its work out tomorrow.

But to the point... what did I miss here? There are far too many new posts to wade through so direct me to the thread(s) you think that I should check out!

Ah, Uncle Pug -

I was just wondering where you had disappeared to.

It's been the same old, same old around here - you know . . .

squabble here, squabble there, squabble squabble everywhere :)

Glad you're back!

Gee not much Uncle...
First we solved all the worlds mysteries, but then decided it would be fun to see how others solved them, so we threw away the solutions.

Some of us had a hoot at wreckmania

and a wee thing from me, I've got my traveling papers almost all approved and will be visiting Seattle in October so you might want to avoid the place then ;)

Uncle,

Glad you escaped. I thought we were going to have to pay the ramsom.

Welcome back. I read a few threads that were obivious candidates for your UP wisdom. They were mostly anti-DIR baits. You would probably have risen to take it.

More whining than normal but then it is the dog days of summer.

Regards,

Larry

Debates about which certification agency is best, questions on whether split fins are better than paddle fins, essays on whether lake divers are cooler than ocean divers, who has the biggest spear gun...the usual.

You missed us, of course. And also:

Jacket vs back inflate vs BP row (http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12791)

Don't think anyone has voted for PNW in this thread (http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12674).

You are quoted in here (http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12726) somewhere.

You'll like this one (http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12828), I think.

This one (http://www.scubaboard.com/t12701/s.html) made me think of the 'computers rot your brain' thread.

That'll do for starters. Have fun!

Welcome back, Uncle Pug,
I'm sure we'll hear more from you once you "catch up" to the recent threads.
But first, enjoy your dive.
Good luck,
Mike

Welcome back Uncle,

I ventured out to the PNW for the first time and had a great time. See here (http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=128781#post128781) for some of the places I visited.

Unfortunately, we did not have enough time (nor funds) to go to Victoria nor San Juan Islands as per your advice. Though everyone I talked to said it was a must-see. One day I will come back and spend a couple days and nights there.

I found everyone in the city (Seattle) to be quite friendly, clean, and family-oriented. Not like New York at all (jk!) I was completely astounded at the lack of jay-walking. I got a few nasty stare downs for even stepping off the curb while waiting for the light to change. :mean:

I think I will have to make a recommedation to my boss that we should hold more meetings in Seattle. ;)

I got a long hose and ordered a bp and wings. Aren't you proud of me. I just got to find a DIRF soon.
