Suunto website doesn't make it clear, and I can't find info on the forums (fora?) here.

Anyone know the "30 words or less" difference?

DS utilises a modified Suunto RGBM algorithm with "deep stop" capability - it has a black case. "Regular" Vytec is gray and not "deep stop" capable. All other features are identical between the two.

The cover color doesn't matter, since you'll eventually get a DSS bungee mount for it anyway. (Link)

BTW, the computers work identically in gauge mode.
