Nikon announced the AF-S VR 105mm f2.8G IF-ED macro today at PMA.
AF-S could result in faster focus, and the VR would likely allow shutter speeds as low as 1/30 (maybe even 1/15) for hand holding. This is a long awaited update to the D series lens that has been out for well over a decade.
There was no announced cost, but I'm betting around $1000US.
For those who could care less about AF-S or VR, expect to see a large number of used 105mm used lenses on the market when this hits the streets sometime in April.
