Possibly planning a trip to Grand Bend this weekend and was wondering if anyone knew of any decent sites for shore diving? Or if there was any good charters that would allow two last minute divers to squeak onto for some basic/easy wreck diving? Still pretty new to the sport, so any diving is cool for now. As for the wreck diving, just want to stay within my limits of experience, so I'm not asking for a tech dive or deep dive.. just a simple 'swim around it an look' experience.

Thanks!
Erich

Since your in Michigan I take it you will cross into Canada at Port Huron and Sarnia on your way up to Grand Bend. Sarnia is an hour south of Grand Bend and some excellent diving right in Sarnia. We will be there tomorrow. When you cross onto the Candian side instead of staying on the 402 just take an immediate right just after customs and follow that road back towards the bridge. You will see the french fry truck (its always there) then go left in the parking lot and you will see a few cars near the end of the lot by themselves, those will be divers. That area there is an entry point right beside the Casino. The vis is usually good sometimes as much as 70 feet even on a bad day it can be as good as 15 to 20. It is a fast current the fastest I have ever been in, but if your new to the river you can stay shallow enough 25-35 feet and you will have a blast riding that current, it will feel like you are flying.:D
