Smart Pro or Aladin Tec

Hi all !!

I'm not sure on which computer to buy, Aladin Tec or Smart Com both from Watec,the Smart com will cost me about 40 $ plus than the aladin, so the price is basically the same.

Please comment.

The Aladin Tec and the Smart Pro both cover similar ground (full deco, nitrox facility, nice, clear, easy to read display, etc), however, the newer Aladin Tec is smaller (being a 'puck' shape), you access and navigate the menus via buttons (not the lick-and-touch approach!) and it has a user-replaceable battery.

If you go for a Smart Pro, make sure it has the new rubber strap, not the lousy elasticated one – I went through four in three years before I fitted the rubber one. The new ones have the rubber strap as standard, but some shops still have stock of the elasticated strap one.

Whichever one you go for, you will have a solid computer that will last you.
