I have a Suunto Stinger that is going to be shipped back to Finland for repair and will take 2.5 months. Long story that I might post in Whine and Cheeze.

Anyway, I have read the manuals for the D6 and have a question for current users.

Using the Stinger, during the surface interval, the computer automatically switches to TIME mode after a few minutes. Because of this, you have to go back into DIVE mode to view dive details and SI time. I know you can just remember the time you came out and etc etc etc. Is it the same in the D6? or will the dive related info always be visible during the SI?

Very minor issue but one I would like answered anyway.

Thanks.

I am considering the new Vytec DS w/ transmitter and the d6.

Almost the same price.
