My 5 year old Data Plus 2 has been a good soldier and I got my money out of it for sure, but it finally croaked. Six month old battery, started malfunctioning - shutting down during a surface interval. So, just called Oceanic.

Send in the old one, 4 years after warranty is out, and I get a new VEO 180 for $90 including freight. What a deal. What a company. :medal:

At first I thought you were going to ask what to do, see you already knew and did it.

Glad your sticking with us!

If you log with your PC make sure you download the latest software from outr website.

Thanks, yeah - spoke with Ron yesterday. The Data Plus 2 wasn't downloable, but my Versa Pro is. Need to update that program and load the VEO.

And your PDCs are tops - as are you V12 fins, Verlcro snorkel lock (in case I want to take it outta my pocket), Probe BC, and probly some other stuff in my scuba closet.

By the way when people send a unit in for servicing/repair it normally goes in a pile and the service guys grab an already serviced unit and send it out so the cust. has the shortest possible wait. In this case there wasn't a DATAPLUS 2 ready to go so thus the Veo 180 at the Data Plus 2 repair price.

Ron Landis who runs service really goes out of his way and sure makes my job easier!
