Next year I’m taking my son to Australia. While there, I will not pass up the opportunity to dive the GBR. I would love the chance to enjoy the experience with my son. He will be five at the time. I am looking for recommendations for a snorkeling vest to fit a child.

I need one that is sized for an 8 – 9 year old. He is a big boy. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

I looked through my stuff and found a Scubapro C02 vest, green, that should fit. It is in new condition. Bury the cartridge deep when flying. Also have a matching pair USD yellow C02 vests which will fit you and wife. Condition, very good. Bury vests deep or conceal cartridges when flying. $50 for SP, $30 each for USD.

May I suggest a wetsuit? It would offer great protection against the sun and jellyfish/coral scrapes. I have found with my kids (8 and 11) that with a 3 mil it is very hard for them to dive below the surface (that is a good thing).
