Laws pertaining to what exactly? There are spearfishing laws and artifact collecting laws, ect...

Actually the diving laws in Alabama are "pretty open" as long as it's not considered a "Alabama Cultural Resources". The law in Alabama just changed also about 2 months ago.

Spearfishing laws are defined by the State Fish and Game regulations. I think you just have to have a saltwater fishing license and I think a seperate spearfishing license and follow the rules about limits and seasons.

Stick to normal fishing restrictions, and pretty much discount any freshwater spearing, get the liscense and go play.
