SOLO (SAVE OUR LEATHERBACK TURTLE OPERATION, a 501 C 3 non profit organization) has organized two expeditons to Leatherback nesting grounds in eastern Indonesia (Papua). The first expediton (which I am on) is full but the second (3 Aug - 13 Aug) has a few openings left. In additon to inspecting and monitoring nesting grounds and activities, there will be side trips into the jungle at the nesting ground site, diving on WWII vessels/aircraft and in the Raja Ampats. For those of you that itemize deductions, THIS TRIP WILL BE TAX DEDUCTIBLE INCLUDING TRAVEL EXPENSES. The expediton will be on a new 110' vessel - first voyage was 15 April. Price is $2600. More info available upon request. To learn more about SOLO check out the SOLO website at http://www.leatherbackturtles.org. The latest press release from SOLO can be found at http://www.divenewswire.com/NewsITems.aspx?newsID=7953. This will be an AWESOME trip.... I've been diving in Indonesia with the SOLO founder (and his wife) and trips have all been first class with lots of critters. You will not be disappointed!!!
