i have noticed my computer (oceanic pro plus 2) stays on for the 24 hour time to fly countdown after every dive. that means that my computer stays on that entire 24 hours after every dive. whats up with that?

Most computers do that. It is still running timers and calculating and such. Some hide it better than others by turning off the display but it is still "on".

It's probably stated in your Manual as well that it will do it.
That is normal, and is the same thing that my VersaPro does. The "Desat" timer will countdown sooner than that, but the 24 hour time to fly does stay on until it expires, then the unit shuts off entirely.
