The Beaver Creek Dive Club (Lake Cumberland Kentucky) recently acquired the above compressor and cascade array. It was last operated in 2004; the array has now been hydro-ed and is ready to go. On test run the compressor makes 1800 lbs and pops off in what appears to be the 3rd stage. The manufacturer is out of business; we want to have air w/o having to come off the lake and go 70 miles (round trip) for a fill.
We have members who are very mechanically inclined but admittedly, have never dealt with these pressures (cascade bottles are rated to 3600#). Can any body give us a source for rebuild kits or other info? Or are we better off to market it to a paintballer and wait a year or two to build up funds to get us something more current? Or...is 1800#,well...not so bad?
Thank you for your input.
