Hubby has worn his original pair of booties O-U-T! He is in the market for a new pair and wants some with good arch support. He likes the look of the harder-soled ones that resemble tennis shoes with the reinforced top where the fins won't rub or wear down the neoprene...but they must have good arch support...bottom-line. What do you all wear and do you have suggestions of where to start and/or which brands/models to consider? Thanks, Scubaboarders! I know I can count on you!

Have him look at the SeaSoft boots. I own two pair of them. One pair for New England diving (Stealth) and one for the Caribbean (SeaRay).

I like them for the specific reasons your husband mentions. I would have him try them on to checkout the fit. They come only in full sizes (no half sizes). The ones I use in the Caribbean tend to slide around a bit even though the same size boots in the Stealth models do not.

look at the storm boot on www.nrsweb.com

I am a dealer of their stuff and their storm boot is the nicest I have ever seen, sort of a cross between a work booat and a dive boot.

I like the Henderson Insta-Dry boots. Dry fast, have a microbial coating for no feet stink, and good soles for comfy walking. Just make sure your fins still fit, because those soles are bigger than your average soft-sole bootie.
