First off, my wife's been diving the Elite for a year now, and loves it. It's proven to be reliable and easy to use. It's well liked enough that we're anxiously awaiting the T3 for a probable upgrade.

My question however is about the firmware version. I can't find anywhere on the website that describes the current firmware versions used. I'd like to know if there's an update for her comp, and if so where to d/l it from. She's currently running version 1A.

Thanks!

Doug - does this require sending the unit back to Aeris for an upload, or can it be done through the PC software interface?

Hi stevann,

1A is the current firmware version for the ATMOS elite.

Hi Doug,

I do not want to hijack this thread, but I was wonderiing the same thing about my dive computer (Oceanic Data Pro Plus). I have been very happy with it, but I was thinking that there should probably be a update to the system or whatever. Is this something I should check with my LDS about? Does it need to go back to the factory? It is almost time for a battery change anyway. Thanks.

Great questions - I'll look into posting current firmware versions on the web site. Some dealers will offer battery/o-ring changes and pressure tests for dive computers - all other services ultimately come back to the factory. When a dive computer is serviced, it is replaced with a completely refurbished unit to maintain a turn-around time in house of 2-3 days. These units meet current production standards and specifications - including the latest firmware version. Costs vary by model for units receiving non-warranty service. You may choose to process returns through your LDS - they will take care of packaging it up and tracking it's progress if neccessary. Should you choose to return a product yourself, see the following links for instructions.
