Lakes around Ottawa

Hi all,

Just looking for a clean body of water to get into in the Ottawa area that I can use to get familiar with some new equipment. I don't want to Morison's quarry because I'm just way too tired of it. I was thinking about Lac Pilippe. Anyone been in there?

Also, I've been away since any posts. I was in Bora Bora for some diving. Worth the 16k price tag :)

The closest place to Ottawa is the Ottawa River! Not that is clear water, but other than the St Lawrence (45 min away to Prescot) your not going to get anything that isn't tannic other than the quarry.
