I need to set my internal strobe to master since I bought a z-240 which I intend to use in S-TTL. When I try to set my mode to super macro and I adjust the internal strobe to master then I realise that the strobe doesn't work and a circle symbol with no strobe appear on the LCD. What can I do?

I'm not sure about how TTL works but I do know that the internal flash on the 5050 will only fire in the slave mode when taking pictures in supermacro.

Like Yoda said, you must have the strobe in slave when in supermacro. In addition the camera can NOT be in "P" mode. Your best bet is to learn to use the camera in manual for all shots.

You don't say which housing you have, but some u/w housings will accept wet-mate macro lens adapters. With the lens adapters, you can set the camera to macro mode and get the ttl you want.
