I was thinking about trying to do a little free-diving for lobsters at night in Connecticut. Before I go and get the license I was wondering if its feasible to catch them without the actual SCUBA equipment to stay down for more than a couple minutes.
I have done a lot of free diving during the day and occasionally see lobsters but have heard they are more active and easier to catch at night is this true? I also heard its legal to dive for them in CT at night, true?
My other question is lighting, whats a good dive light to use for free diving that isnt going to cost too much $$.
I have a boat I launch at barn island so will probably be trying out around the Stonington breakwalls.
