I've noticed three different types of weights out there -- the shot weights, the vinyl covered, and the regular hard weights. Anyone have any recommendations on whether the vinyl or shot ones are any better or more comfortable, will give me better balance or the like? At the moment, I'm using standard hard ones.

If it matters, I'm using a Zeagle Brigade, and I'd like for there to be as little difficulty as possible if I have to drop and run. Haven't had to bail out yet. Hope I don't have to. Want it to be easy if I do.
