I am looking at a couple of regulator packages from Scubatoys

Tusa RS-130 Regulator
Adjustable second stage (Ya'lls opinion on adjustable second stages?)
Balanced Piston 1st Stage
2 HP and 4 LP ports (upgradeable to integrated PDC later, Aeris Atmos 2 presently)
Imprex Octo
33 inch long hose
Tusa 3 Gauge Console
Scubaboard price $333

Aeris
Aeris A1 Regulator
Non-adjustable second stage
Unbalanced Piston
1 HP and 4 LP ports
Viper Octo (How is this octo with the single sided exhaust?)
Aeris 3 Gauge Console
Scubaboard price $315

Could you give your opinion on how these rate. I am a new diver (relatively speaking) and am looking forward to diving more often as my son is getting certified next weekend. We are getting our advanced cert this winter to prepare for some wreck diving next spring. I am not getting into anything technical (Yet!!) but would like something dependable. Would this be considered a wet breather? Never had any experience with this, but my dive log only lists 8 dives so....
Thanks to Joe for giving me almost instant response to my emails!!

Dirt low prices....

Tamas:
....also try to get the balanced first stage, better performance all around

that balanced first stage isn't super high performance and really no better than the Aeris unbalanced which is a class a regulator.

I meant it in general, not a Tusa vs. Aeris debate........balanced reg's (most of them) will perform better at lower psi's as well as depth
