I recently bought a Titan (regular plane jane Titan) as my first reg from the LDS... before I considered or realized there were issues in cold water for regs. I'll be diving in water in Ketchikan, AK (temps 40's - 50's), and would like to dive in the winter too. Will I have any issues with the Titan in water at these temps? Can I upgrade the Titan to a cold water model? Should I ask the dive shop about changing to a higher end reg?

I dive in 51 deg F with my regular Titan, and it performs fine. My LDS tells em that unless you're doing ice diving, there should be no worries. If you can afford it, and think you'll be diving in colder water, might as well get a better one now. Good Luck.
