Burbot (aka lawyer) are some of the best eating critters out there. Very underutilized, too.

I used to just use a catch bag. I'd put a crayfish into the bag,and when a burbot came to check it out, I'd open bag, fish go in,close bag...go home.

This is when they're actually awake enough that the scratching their bellies and grabbing them doesn't work, eh, Ron? :-)

I really enjoyed the videos. They were great... would liked to have seen some u.w. vids too.. I would enjoy a trip up there to do a bit of freediving sometime. If ever I'm in that area I'll be in the water for sure. http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i96/freedivernd/?action=view¤t=intheriver1.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch3
