yep.. after one year teaching I found out that I teach more of the advance courses than the open water courses and most students have their equipment already, so some basic gear have to go.

Is she still here? maybe she is interested.

but Caloy, you forgot to introduce me...;)

Jai, I'm already back in Palawan but if I can probably try your bcd next month during the MV photo reunion (if you haven't sold it by then). My present BCD (a 12yr old xs seacsub portofino) is a little too big for me but I've gotten used to it over the years and am reluctant to part with it. Do you think the IST oceanus is smaller?

sorry wrong information I typed in, the bcd is XS not S. I am not familiar with the seacsub BCD, but most of my women students fit it quite nicely into the Oceanus. I have another mares BCD that I am thinking of selling, this one is smaller than the oceanus. I may however sell it for P8,000. Let me know when you are in town next month.

Jai, I'll try to make it to the Anilao DOR end of September. If either bcd is still available, will you let me dive it? It should be more comfortable than my old one else there's no point in getting new. What model Mares? That might work because I hear their sizes are smaller and more suited to Asian women. I don't need any fancy features- the simpler the better - and one with pockets would be nice.

@Caloy--shhhhh. I'm keeping quiet so no one will ask me to post pics. I don't want to give Master Mike any bad publicity :D . Maybe I'll just put them in my gallery if they ever get it up - or if I ever find the time to do so.

Cathy,
of course you can dive it. the mares is the frontier vera model, its my gf's bc so Im not 100% sure yet if Im going to sell it (I MIGHT get her a BP&Wing). The only concern you might have with it are the pockets which are a bit small. Nothing major will fit in there, probably just a pencil and small slate. The oceanus on the other hand has good size pockets and will fit a bigger pencil and a bigger slate haha :)

Both BCD are simple with nothing more than the meat and the potatoes. inflator hose, dump valves and quick releases.

Guys we are messing up Jai's ad here. Honestly, you'll have better luck convincing Eric or Myra to post their pics. Anyways you guys have already done the PPD proud. You really should post your pics in the underwater section from now on.

Jai, I'll take a look at whatever you have. The price seems reasonable and I'm sure it was well maintained. It's a shame the newer models- especially the weight-integrated ones -have such small pockets. I like to stuff as much as I can in there -gloves, slate, lens, knife, or even my hands when I'm cold and not carrying a camera. Will pm you the next time I'm in Manila. Any other gear in your garage sale? I don't mind second-hand as long as it still works.
