I am in the process of possibly planning a dive trip to Miami in early November and have been doing some research on dive operators in the area - specifically South Beach. There are a couple that I have found and would welcome any feedback any one has or any recommendations for other operators.

Scuba Miami
South Beach Divers - although their website schedule does not indicate daily diving in November.
RJ Diving VenturesWould welcome any from the Scuba Board.

Thanks,

Mary

Hey Mary.

You'd be better served doing the 1 hour drive south to Key Largo and diving there. Dozens of great dive ops. My favourite is Conch Republic Divers, Quiescence or Ocean Divers.

Cheers.

I have nothing but good things to say about RJ diving. South Beach divers actually uses RJs boat so better to just go through RJ.

i highly recommend RJ diving, however, also consider a trip(65miles from south beach) to the upper keys as well. bluewater divers and island ventures in key largo are a fine choice,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I'll go along w/ RJ Diving (http://www.rjdiving.com) being the best Dade County operator.

No reason to drive to Key Largo unless you want to dive the Duane or the SG :D

Miami has good wrecks but nothing the caliber of the Duane or SG in recreational depths. For reefs, I think the best reefs in the entire state are in Biscayne National Park, the second best are off Boynton/Palm Beach, And the third best are in the Middle Keys but that's just my opinion.
