We are going to Punta Cana on 5/26. Four divers, one newly certified. Has anyone been there, dove that? Any sugestions or info would be appreciated!
 
Hi divinduo,

In my experience, diving in the Punta Cana area is marginal to poor overall. Much trash dumped, fished to a fare-thee-well & dying reef.

Either your resort's dive shop or one nearby should offer trips south to places the Bayahibe area. Take one. Catalina Island is excellent diving. Saona Island & the weck of the St. George are also worth it.

Have a blast down there.
