Hey, I finally had a wreck.

I told JeffG this morning it would happen.

Actually I said "I think I may be Killed by a Car Today"

Whew, dang those new shoes.

Car pulls out, cursed on deaf ears, clustered myself trying to get out of the pedals.

Tips for crashing welcomed.

put your hands out to protect your noggin'..

then try to roll with it..
(vice skidding on your hands, elbows, knees, etc..
the latter tends to imbed asphault into your skin.. ouch!)

wear gloves a helmet and pretend you are invisible. How's the bike?

I tried to tell you that your 6 inch stielettos are not the right shoe for funerals, golf or riding your bike, but do you listen to me? Nnnoooooooo.....

ohhh...that was bad. I did wear stilettos to the funeral and sunk like a golf tee.

(how did you know that? hmmm not sure a normal man should know so much about stilettos.

Yes, have gravel embedded. Haven't skinned my knees like this in a couple decades.

These shoes really suck...too bad they cost a lot. Jb's are flatter, these feel like ice skates.

The bike, I held it like a cake, on a platter, all the way down, not a scratch.

No way. You're ok right?

yes, but how did I know that was happening today?

two months now about 5 times a week...nothing. I even survived the cattle guard grate that swallowed my tires...

AND I have water on my knee I think, like a football player and some missing skin.

if you say "today's the day" every single day, you're bound to get it right sooner or later

:14:

i assume you were riding a muscle-powered bike, not a motorcycle?

glad you're ok either way

I'm glad you weren't "Killed by a Car Today" :D
