I have no idea what forum this post ought to go in, but I'm looking for a naturalist guide for Carribean reef fish. Not something that weighs 25 lbs and costs $250, but a pocket guide like for North American birds or Trees Of Canada....thanks!

Have you tried you LDS? Mine has small books and even double-sided laminated cards.

You might look into Paul Humann's Fish ID, Creature ID and Coral ID books. I've worn out my first set and am currently replacing them with new editions.

Look here on Amazon.com for a selection.

for Humann/Deloach "Reef Fish Indentification". A great book with lots of information. I found the best price on mine from Half Dot com

If you have a laptop Humann's book is available on CD that is a great way to check fishies out. I have the 3 vol set and I don't leave home without it.
