I got a dive alert signaling device, which is pluged between Inflator and Inflator hose, second hand, but it leak on the button.

It wasn't used for a year or more.
I checked the seals, they look OK, but the surface on which the small piston runs is not very smooth and there is no kind of grease inside. The screw which holds everything together was almost loose.

I think a little bit grease and it will work. What kind of grease shall I use? I guess silicon grease is used, but as I don't have it.

Can I use normal grease? Or is that a bad idea?

Thanks
Michael

bring to your LDS and see what they can help you do. Maybe either you or they can help to contact the manufacuturer for advice.

thanks I like to fix small not dangerous (if on the next dive some bubbles come out, I just disconnect it) problems myself.
