Iceland is trying to start actively hunting whales again, 9 Fin whales, 30 minke whales, sei whales as well as blue and humpbacks whales. This is madness as the revenue from this at it's height was £4 million a year. Tourism is worth more like £50 million a year. Greenpeace is asking people to send a pledge that we would actively consider a visit to Iceland if they stopped whaling. So far 90,000 have taken the pledge, please join us.

There is so little reason to hunt these creatures except to satisfy some small political constituency that it surprises me it is still carried on.
