monterey/travel bcd

I am in the market for a new bcd. I am wanting a back inflate that I can travel with. I am also on somewhat of a budget 250-400. I am 5'11" 160. I have looked at the triple l Orion, atmos xt, and genesis tropic. The tropic will only have 28lbs lift in my size, will that be enough with a 7mm and around 30lbs of weight? I really like how that bc is known for a good travel size although it would need to work for cold water because i live near monterey.

My rule of thumb is that a BC should be able to lift more weight than you wear lead and a
full tank. Bear in mind that most BCs are rated, ah, optimistically.
