OK got the rig sussed now thanks to all your help, but....

the next question - how do I stop the free flow?

Every time I enter the water the oct round my neck free flows. I try and have the mouth piece pointing down when doing the entry but the force must turn it round.

Any tips welcome - remember this is a SP R380

I use the same back up reg.I leave the venturi knob closed.I also took mine back to the dive shop to have him detune it slightly. It has worked great every since and still breathes like a champ.

Yep... I had a problem with my alternate bubbling around 100 fsw in cold water. We looked into a bunch of different things, and finally dropped the intermediate pressure coming out of the first stage and everything is better...

I have a play - thanks.

Well can't do much about the IP as SP out here charge the earth to do stuff with DIN regs - they'll even deny that they exist! Bit difficult really but if it's not on the list ......

Maybe my instructor can do something as I think he is a bit of a tecnician. When they were serviced I did ask them to be de-tuned but I don't think they believed me...
