Looking for some input on winter manatee dives in Fla. A friend has recommended this, but I'm not sure. I've been spoiled by ocean diving with abundant coral and marine life. I've done lake and spring dives and they just aren't my thing. Will a manatee river dive disappoint or is the excitement of swimming with the manatees enough?

I've been checking out the various sites around the state as younger members of the family have expressed an interest in swimming with manatees.

However reading all the websites, you can't actually "dive" with the manatees. All the tours are snorkelling or surface swimming only. It seems bubbles from a scuba unit scare and stress the animals.

Here's just a few - do a search and there's lots more.
