You know how it is... you research like crazy on the gear configuration you want, buy it, & later wish you had something a bit better. I really like my Oceanic Veo 250 in the gauge set, with the compass on the back - compact & easy to get info at a glance. The only problem is, whenever I want to download info onto my PC, or simply want to review the dive log from the DC, I have to lug the whole regulator set to my room to do so. This is particularly cumbersome on live aboards when the reg set is on the tank for a week. I've checked my dive shop, & two 'net based suppliers of Oceanic, & found the perfect quick disconnect console, but they all say you have to buy the entire set - they won't sell just the quick disconnect hose & pressure gauge with the DC & compass spots empty. I looked at a quick disconnect converter that Oceanic sells, which mounts to the 1st stage. Not good - there's way too much stress @ that point.

Any ideas out there?

Hi,
There are three high pressure disconnects which have the connection at the computer end. If you have the veo 250 in the swiv console the part number you are looking for is 04.4713 this includes the high pressure hose, the male and female fittings and the hose protector.

It is quite possible that your local Authorized Oceanic dive store couldn't find the part number. You do however want to have it put together by an Authorized Oceanic dealer for warranty reasons of course. If you have any other questions feel free to give me a call on our toll free number 877-460-9515 and I will do my harddest to answer them for you. Have a great holiday.

how much would the cost be for kit to convert to QD

Hi, I'm at home now but I had to check for a customer earlier today who called. Don't know if it was you or not but it is $99.95. I again stress that it be put together by an authorized Oceanic dealer (we are one if you have no one willing to do it near you). Yes we have it in stock. Give us a call on our toll free number 877-460-9515 and we can do it for you if you would like.
