H2Andy December 18th, 2006, 04:08 PM do you mean that air is coming out through the metal? or is the leak through the DIN valve itself? cerich December 18th, 2006, 04:15 PM at the base of the din connector there is a oring. Some divers "twist" the reg to start to unscrew it instead of just using the Din handwheel. This sometimes will back off the din fitting causing what you describe. All it needs is the DIN fitting removed, new oring and then reinstalled to the proper torque specs and you are good to go. It's not incommon with all makes of DIN regulators. XS Scuba December 19th, 2006, 02:04 PM Hello FTF: I'm sorry for my late reply, I've been working out of town. Leaking air from the first stage is a problem we want to correct prior to your next dive. Cerich's explanation is exactly correct, as to what is the most likely cause. I'm in the office the rest of the week. Give me a call and we'll get you fixed up. Toll-free 866 977-2822.
