Where was this taken? Very cool, but sort of disturbing in a way that they are so unafraid of us.
Were you on scuba or a rebreather?

Wow, the claws look more scary than a snagle toothed tiger sharks teeth, but the seals look so much more playfull.

The "New Wild" clips are of young grey seal pups (probably about 1 year old).
They are filmed off the NE coast of England in the North Sea.
Don't be misled these are wild seals and although very inquisitive they are timid around divers and will often dart away as soon as they appear.
I spent 90mins in the same spot before I could get this footage. I have been diving with grey seals for over 6 years observing their u/w behaviour and using body language and vocalisations (mimicked from the seals!) to ensure regular close encounters.
They are beautiful intelligent and gentle creatures.
It is my priviledge to dive with them. (Oh yes all done with open circuit air... but note they often don't like the exhaust bubbles and you have to hold your breath when they initially approach until they gain confidence.... obviously some are braver and don't seem to care about the bubbles!)
Still looking for sponsors for the walrus trip!!
Best regards and glad you enjoyed the rather unique footage,
Ben "Seal diver".

Awesome videos! We have our fair share of curious and friendly seals out here as well, but I have yet to have an encounter quite like that.
...Could have something to do with my lack of willingness to sit around for 90 minutes... although it really does seem worth the wait!

How hard were the bites? Did they penetrate the glove? Draw blood??

Not hard bites - they are just playing and usingb their mouths to explore.
If however they wanted they could easily bite through your hand - especially a big (350kg) bull seal.
