Hi! First Post!

I'm wondering about drysuit hoods and how they mate with neck seals. My understanding is that drysuit neck seals can be neoprene or latex. Will drysuit hoods mate successfully with either type?

It also looks like a wetsuit hood with a bib that has a smooth skin section (for example, the Akona hoods) will actually mate with a wetsuit neck seal (if this is the case, is the unwieldly bib necessary at all?) which is always neoprene (right?)

So, won't the various drysuit hoods also mate with the wetsuit seals in a similar fashion?

Any light you can shed on the matter is much appreciated! :D

I have used a drysuit hood with a wetsuit. However, lately when I dive wet, I use a hooded vest. A much better choice for cool/cold water when diving wet.

They do generally. Just make sure you feel comfortable with it, so it's not too tight around your neck. Usually they are a bit too wide.

The only hood I use is a dry suit hood, both wet and dry.
