Is there any land based diving in Eygpt, that is away from the main tourist hubs???

Where is the land best land based diving in Eygpt??

If you mean diving from shore, it's definitely Dahab.
However, it's a tourist hub.

Marsa Alam and deeper south - there the touristic crowd is not that enoying

I must Agree with Mania.

Marsa Alam is a great place to do shore diving from, in the nice diving camp.

Personaly i only go on Live Abord's (Safari), because after working in Sharm el Sheikh for 6 month, i have had enough of shop owners going 'hello my friend, where are you from' (spoken abit like Borat does).

Marsa Alam is best done via liveaboard boats.

The excellent sites in Marsa Alam are far from shore. Except for Elphinstone -which is accessible by daily boat-, all are accessible by liveaboard boats.


If you're looking for shore diving in Marsa Alam, it's mainly the house reef. Dahab offers more shore diving variety.
