Hi

This is fairly short notice, but we have just had a spot open up on our boat, so if there is someone interested in joining us, you would be more than welcome.

Here's the scoop. As part of an ongoing lake trout spawning shoal assessment study being conducted in Big Rideau Lake in Eastern Ontario, we have planned a day for recreational divers to help assess the actual use of the different sites throughout the lake by the lake trout. This assessment will include running underwater transects and quadrats to look at egg density on the shoals.

Date: Saturday, November 9, 2002
Time: 9:00 am
Depth: 0 to 20 feet (approx)
Water temp: was approx 7-8 Celcius a few days ago
Air temp: (will depend on the wind since we will be diving wind exposed shoals)

This project is VERY weather dependent due to the location of the sites. Also, due to the drastic drop in temperature lately, this will likely be a one dive day depending on the suits being worn.

If anyone is interested send me a PM with some contact info and I can give you more details.
