When filling in the "working pressure" for a dive on the Aeris program, what is used? 3,000 for an AL80, 2400 or 2640 for LP?

well, you need to know what the working pressure of the specific tank you used is, because they can vary by manufacturer

generally speaking, AL80's are rated to 3,000 psi

LP steel tanks are usually rated to 2,400 or 2,400+10% (2,640)

HP steel tanks are all over the place

here's a chart for the various models:

I guess I should have been more specific. I have an LP 85 at the plus rating. Should it be 2400 or 2640? I makes no sense to make it 2640. Makes a difference of 0.1 but just curious. I haven't done the math myself but was told today by a DB that the software figures the SAC a bit different than the "usual" formula. Sorry don't have the "formula" in front of me.

it should be 2640 because it's probably trying to figure out what your cf/psi ratio is

in other words, the tank will hold it's rated capacity (85 cf) at 2640 psi

(it's probably less than a full 85 cf capacity ... my LP 85's actually hold 82.7 cf)

Makes sense now. Wasn't thinking about the 85cf being at 2640psi.
