hey all-
since we missed out on all the WONDERFUL dive conditions for the last 6 weeks, we decided(long ago) to dive Gerstle this weekend... still planning on doing the dive(s) if we can get in the water. i'm looking for alternatives in the area in case it's blown out (fingers crossed!) we'll be staying the weekend in ft bragg. probably need to find a "protected" cove/spot in the area , although we're still holding out hope that it (gerstle) will be divable... :(

If you are in the Ft. Bragg area and need a protected dive site, I recommend Van Damme St. Beach. It is about 10-15 miles south of SubSurface Dive Shop in Ft. Bragg. No matter how bad the conditions are elsewhere, Van Damme is usually a safe bet. Here is a link to a review of VD.
