Does anyone think it would be nice for diving either Monterey or Carmel this weekend?

.SAT...W WINDS 10 TO 15 KT. WIND WAVES 2 TO 3 FT.
NW SWELL 7 TO 9 FT. CHANCE OF RAIN.
.SAT NIGHT...W WINDS 10 TO 20 KT. WIND WAVES 2 TO 4 FT.
NW SWELL 7 TO 10 FT. CHANCE OF RAIN.
.SUN...W WINDS 10 TO 15 KT. WIND WAVES 3 TO 4 FT.
NW SWELL 11 TO 13 FT. SLIGHT CHANCE OF RAIN.

Saturday is right at my maximums. Sunday is well over. It certainly won't be "nice".

I'm going to play it by ear, and not make a decision until the 3 a.m. forecast is out the
morning of.

No diving for me this week until March 10.

We're going to give it a go this weekend. We'll be trying for early Saturday. Not sure where yet. We'll probably just check the different locations and find the quietest area. We're actually hoping to try and dive the Amtrack out off Del Monte Beach.

Will try to do a post dive update Saturday. :coffee:

.SAT...SW WINDS 10 TO 15 KT...BECOMING S IN THE AFTERNOON. WIND
WAVES 2 TO 3 FT. NW SWELL 8 TO 10 FT AT 12 SECONDS. SLIGHT CHANCE
OF RAIN.
.SAT NIGHT...SW WINDS 10 TO 15 KT. WIND WAVES 2 TO 3 FT.
NW SWELL 7 TO 9 FT AT 11 SECONDS. CHANCE OF RAIN.
.SUN...NW WINDS 10 TO 15 KT. WIND WAVES 2 TO 3 FT.
NW SWELL 9 TO 11 FT. CHANCE OF SHOWERS.

That's up just enough on Sat. to be over my maximums. If I did got
Sat., it wouldn't be early. It looks like things will improve as the
day goes on.

Went in through Carmel Meadows chutes and came out North Monastery. Vis was between 15' to roughly 30' at depth and bluish. In the morning, tide was low. Last week Sat, did the same profile and the vis felt like it was more than 50'. Anyone know what the swell, wind direction, wave model ect. was for last Saturday (for the log book)

Nope didn't dive this week and probably won't dive next week either. Also need to check my weight because I'm shrinking down from 150 lb to 145 lb and my wetsuit may not even fit me. Also I got a biology test the day before spring break and then finally on March 10 I'll be in Pt. Lobos on the Beach Hopper 2. Ben you wanna dive during the week of March 10 to 17? Andy and the Northcoast people are gonna hang out on March 17 so maybe we can have a BBQ or something.
