Hello i bought a Nokia drysuit in awesome shape, Just wondering it has a boot sort off on it but is there any custom boots i could put onto to make my fins stay little better? I know you can buy rock boots but i was thinking of a custom boot you guys can pick up at canadiantire or walmart type of thing?
Chris

If it is a sock design, you can use something like Chuck Taylors, that are $35.00. To many they are known as Converse Pro high tops.

Not clear what you're looking for...

You might try Superior Diving Repair they may be able to replace the boots on your drysuit. It won't be cheap, though.

If you just mean Rockboots to wear over the existing socks, there are lots of options. Bare and Whites both make pretty good rock boots for drysuits.

I dont know the difference between a sock and boot on a drysuit. My drysuit has a sock with grip under it. Im not sure if this goes into the boot or a sock.

A sock does not have a sole on it, but a boot does have a sole on it. Sounds like you have built in boots on your drysuit. Choices then are to cut off the boots and change the boots, switch over to socks, purchase new fins, or stick with what you have.

What's up with the Converse Fan Club? What advantages do these offer over built-in boots or neo dive boots?

Not a flame, I am in the middle of finalizing my drysuit configuration.

I have DV boots on mine and love them. They look like a fisherman's boot glued to the drysuit leg, and are comfortable and come in your actual size, not a one size fits all like the socks.

Look at how many rockboots and similar types pop up for sale. That should tell you something right there.

They are very similar to the DUI rockboots (which look an awful lot like black Converse) and 1/3 of the price, sometimes less. And the laces are far less annoying. And they're readily available all over the place, and easily replaceable.

There may be other reasons, but those are some good ones right there...

You're right, they look exactly like Converse hi tops. I had the impression that rockboots were more "mountain boot" looking.

I haven't worn a pair of converse in 30 years. I remember them as being virtually indestructible. Do they still make them in black?
