Cabo Hotel Help Needed

I'm supposed to be going to Cabo on August 19, 2007. We are supposed to be doing a timeshare at a place called the Grand Mayan. I just heard that it is not yet complete, but is expected to open the first week of August. Does anyone have any accurate info on this? Is there anyone in Cabo who could let me know if we'd better go to "Plan B"?

gran mayan was not open yet when i was there in Jan. and did not look to be opening soonyet we stayed at the Tesoro On The marina in Downtown Cabo. Mayan is in San Jose 25 miles out.
