When I'm diving those temps on short profiles, I wear water skiing gloves (no insulation). On medium profiles, I wear whatever neoprene gloves I have handy. If I'm in my drysuit and planning a several hour dive, I'll wear my dry gloves. I might wear dry gloves on a short winter dive just so my hands aren't cold on the surface, and I might wear no gloves on a long drysuit dive if I need supreme dexterity for some reason (but I'd probably wear a bit more fleece).

Basically, it's all about you. If your hands are cold, get thicker gloves. If you have dexterity problems due to your gloves being too thick, use thinner gloves. Other than that, it's all personal comfort.

Wear Henderson Gold Core 3mm gloves. Those are the warmest gloves ever for temperate waters.

Cheers.
