hi all, can anyone identify these gloves. i think they may be diving cocepts but the large rubber ring on wrist of glove insert is different. the gloves are in great condition but i need the procedure for glove replacement. can anyone help? cheers. phil.

They look like my old Diving Concepts rings but I can't tell from the picture. Didn't SiTech actually manufacture the rings?

No idea about the ring, but the glove looks a lot like Showa 495.

They do look like DC gloves but the plastic insert seems longer then mine (older model?)

Replacing the gloves is a real PIA but it does get easier with time.

Here is a link to were I got the general idea to replace the gloves:

http://www.geocities.com/mymovie2002/dive/equipment/gloverepair/gloverepair.html

Now I just use 1 tiewrap to hold the o-ring in place and work the glove until it is all around the ring, cut off the tiewrap and use my knees to hold the gloves in place on the ring, while i work the glove back under the rest of the o-ring. After that I pull and adjust the glove so that there is a clean seat, refit the rubber ring over the glove and you are done.

BTW do not buy the gloves from your LDS as they charge $$$$$$. You can order them from www.seamar.com. Atlas gloves insulated model 490 or uninsulated (use your own inner glove) model 660.

Hope this helps
